Three Perfect Days in Lincoln NH

Lincoln is a beautiful small town nestled in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Only two hours from downtown Boston, Lincoln is a perfect weekend retreat. This town is full of natural beauty and wonders to explore year round.  It is home to Loon Mountain which offers world class skiing and winter sports activities in the winter but also outdoor recreation all year.   The fall foliage is spectacular in autumn and worth a drive just for leaf peeping and the gorgeous scenic backdrop. Spring and summer are great for kayaking, hiking, and exploring in the Franconia Notch State Park, the Flume Gorge and surrounding White Mountain National Forest. Lincoln is the perfect combination of grand natural wonders and small town New England experience.

River Walk Resort at Loon Mountain

The Mountain Club on Loon Resort & Spa
The Mountain Club is Loon Mountain’s only full service slope side resort.  It offers an impressive list of its own amenities as well as Loon Mountain Ski Resort activities just steps from your door.  There is a seasonal heated pool and year round hot tubs as well as a health club with an indoor heated pool.  Visit the Viaggo Spa or relax après ski at the Black Diamond Pub. They also have a large breakfast buffet available to fuel up before your adventures for the day. They offer seasonal packages as well as specials such as their couples Romance Package. This is a cozy spot to retreat to after a day of fun on the mountain in any season!

Loon Mountain Resort

Loon Mountain Resort has outdoor recreational fun all year round.  Warmer seasons offer an aerial forest adventure park, gondola ski rides, ziplining, biking and more.  The skiing is some of the best in New England with 370 skiable acres, 69 trails and glades, 11 lifts, and 3 peaks. There are all kinds of ski packages available from lessons to special programs and more.  There is also snow shoeing, winter ziplining, cross country skiing, tubing and general winter fun to get in on here! There is always so much going on from special events to seasonal promotions so check here for details. There are also many dining options of all kinds on the mountain. There is always a lot going on for après ski as well from live music and drinks to light bites. White Mountain National Forest 
There is so much outdoor fun and natural wonder to take in on a trip through the White Mountains. Take some time to explore and hit some of the most spectacular works of nature in all of New England. Visit Franconia Notch, once the home of the iconic Old Man in the Mountain. Explore the Flume Gorge vistor center, take the aerial tramway at Cannon Mountain, and visit New England Ski Museum.

A beautiful scenic 34.5 mile drive through the White Mountains, the Kancmagus is a must do especially in the Fall.  This famous scenic byway offers some of the best fall foliage viewing spots in the entire country.  The unfettered views of the mountains, river, falls, gorges and more are breathtaking.

Ice Castles
Explore the Ice Castles in New Hampshire for a romantic winter date night or fun with friends and family. The Woodstock Inn, Station and Brewery
The Woodstock Station is housed in an original train depot with a fun atmosphere for lunch and dinner. Also inside is the Woodstock Brewery offering more than 12 year round brews as well as seasonal beers. They also do brewery tours and tastings here as well. This is a fun spot for food and drink often also offering live music and entertainment.

La Vista
Located in the River Walk Resort, La Vista offers creative upscale Italian comfort food. They have delicious cocktails offerings and a creative wine list.
