Situated on the corner of Milk Street right by the Greenway, the Granary Tavern is a must visit for a date night in Boston. This restaurant combines a historic location, dimly lit rustic modern interior, inventive cocktails, and upscale tavern fare to create a warm atmosphere which definitely gives off a bit of a romanic vibe. In warmer weather, grab a seat on the brick patio over looking the Greenway. The location is an amazing starting point for a night out in Boston. Follow up a visit to Granary Tavern with a stroll down the Greenway, to the water front, or over to Faneuil Hall to continue your date night adventures.
DRINKS
The Granary Tavern features craft brews, creative cocktails as well as an extensive wine list. There is something to please every taste here from the basic to the inventive. A great spot year round for drinks from their warm modern tavern setting indoors in cooler months to their outdoor brick patio in the warmer months. A favorite drink of ours here was the Chocolate Orange Martini Pictured below.
FOOD
The food at Granary Tavern is local american gastro pub favorites along with some upscale comfort food offerings as well. They have menus for Brunch, Lunch, Dinner and Late Night bites. We had dinner for our Happy Hour date and there are lots of shareable appetizers here with choices such as Charcuterie & Cheese Board, Tuna Poke, Garlic Chips & Dip, and Bang Bang Cauliflower (our favorite here!). Everything looked delicious from Flatbreads to Main Entrees. We enjoyed the Samurai Beyond Burger (Plant Based Protein Burger, Wasabi Mustard, Sesame Seeds, Kimchee Mayo, Red Onion & Pickles) and the Sirloin (special as pictured below).
SUMMARY
The Granary Tavern earns an A+ for the right setting, food, and drinks for the perfect happy hour date! A great spot to start off your date night in the city adventures!
