Three Stops for a Perfect Night out in Boston’s Seaport

Boston’s Seaport is a fun spot to plan a perfect date night out in the city. One of the most up and coming neighborhoods in Boston, the Seaport is located between Boston’s waterfront and historic Fort Point district. There is always so much going on in this bustling neighborhood from rotating seasonal public art exhibits to markets and more. There are so many amazing restaurants, bars, and cafes to explore.  Check out some of our favorite spots for an easy recipe to a fun night out in the Seaport.

1.  Happy Hour

Start your romantic evening out in the Seaport with a fun happy hour date!  Committee is the place to start as the cocktails here are definitely fun. There is also a nice Greek beer and wine list here. They offer flights of Ouzo, a Greek appertif drink, (taste of three for $12) or of Spirits of Greece (taste of three for $16). They always have rotating cocktail specials and seasonal specials. The shareable meze plates make for a delicious addition to your happy hour date. Order a bunch and sample away! Some of our favorites were the Feta (sesame encrusted with greek honey), Mushroom Pie, Kalamboki (sautéed corn with kalamata olive butter and shaved graviera), Greek Ceviche, Calamari, and Keftedakia (chicken meatballs with smoked honey and warm hummus).

2. Wine & Dine

There are so many restaurants to choose from in the Seaport but one of our favorites here for date night is Tuscan Kitchen. There is just something romantic about Italian food and the city views through the big glass windows here add to the date night ambience.   We love that the dishes are all made in house from scratch.  Even the bread is crafted daily and the pastries made in house by their pastry chefs. You really cannot go wrong with any of the dishes you try here.  A glass of red wine is always a must for us when enjoying Italian dishes and their own Super Tuscan red blend is amazing.  This is a great place to just sit and enjoy dining together in a beautiful city spot. Tuscan Kitchen is also conveniently located in the same building as King’s Dine and Showplace Icon Theatre which is a great added bonus in Boston’s colder weather when staying in one place for the night is particularly nice.

3. Appreciate the Arts Together

Finish your night out with a movie at the Showplace Icon Theatre (conveniently located in the same building as Tuscan Kitchen) or continue on to the ICA for their latest exhibits. Both options offer deals that could work into your date night plans well here! If you happen to be out on a Tuesday, check out Showplace Icon Theatre’s Iconic Tuesdays with $5 movies all day for all shows. Click here for details on tickets for Iconic Tuesdays. On Thursday nights, the ICA has free Thursday nights from 5-9pm. The ICA also hosts special seasonal events such as Summer Fridays that are worth planning your night out around.
