Drink is a place where the name says it all – they are all about the specialty of craft cocktails here. A perfect setting for a happy hour date, Drink has a cool modern almost speak easy type vibe and is located below street level in a renovated warehouse location in Fort Point. The historic seaport location adds to the ambience of this establishment and making it a must visit location for your happy hour date itinerary!
Part of the famed Barbara Lynch group of Boston establishments, Drink is located in the same building as another two of the famed chef’s restaurants. Having Sportello and Menton in the same building makes easy transition from Happy Hour to a full dinner out for the evening. Sportello is a great choice for a fun modern diner vibe and delicious italian cuisine. Menton is a great spot for a special date night in a fine dining atmosphere. There is no doubt starting off your evening at Drink can lead to some amazing date night food and drink experiences.
There is no cocktail menu at Drink as it is all around crafting the perfect cocktail for each patron. You tell them what you like (or don’t care for at all) and they mix you a drink tailored to your request. A lot of their specialties are classic prohibition era libations or spin offs from such but there is a lot of modern mixology going on as well. They also offer a curated selection of wine and craft beers to choose from as well if inventive cocktails are not your thing.
The menu at Drink is small and includes an elevated bar snack menu (choices such as selections of nuts, olives, housemade crackers with pimento cheese) along with a few selections for larger fare as well (grilled cheese, flank steak sandwich or burger). They also have a dessert choice available for a small sweet treat ending to your night. Although the focus here is most definitely on the drinks, the food adds to a visit here as well.
Drink earns an A+ for the right setting, food, and drinks for the perfect happy hour date!
